Youth Mentorship Program

SPORTS FOR DRUG ABUSE & CRIME AWARENESS

Established in 2013, Mng’aro Mtaani is a community-based organization whose overarching goal is to promote holistic human development and social justice through clothing, sports, entrepreneurship, and creative art. Therefore, in partnership with the community and religious leaders, as well as local self-help groups and administration, we organize seasonal soccer tournaments every school holiday under the banner Mng’aro Mtaani Sune Cup. The tournament initiative is aimed at creating awareness on the dangers of crime and drug abuse among the youth, while also promoting cohesion and discovering talents in the target communities. Most of our teams come from humble backgrounds in the informal settlements of Lucky Summer, Korogocho, and Baba Dogo wards.

"Sune Message" Hello girls and boys!

I hope and believe that this tournament will bring joy and happiness to you too! The teams are about to start fighting for the championship. However, I am sure that when the tournament ends on Sunday, you will all feel like winners.

I wish you all a memorable, exciting weekend at the Sune Charity Cup! Play fair, follow the rules, respect each other and your opposing team. However, do not be afraid of the opponent, be brave! Play for your team, because only good team spirit creates a winning team! Good luck to everyone! Before the games start, I hope that you will clap your hands and give a big thank you to the organizing committee and partners of the tournament. They have done a tremendous job to make sure you have a great, safe and memorable event!
